They're At It Again!

Oh boy, that special interest group representing an extremely small minority of Americans but who, (I swear!) have the biggest mouths, are at it again, forcing their unwanted, obnoxious agenda on a perfectly upright, innocent small business owner in Lexington, Kentucky.

Oh you haven’t heard about this yet?  Well you just sit back and prepare to be outraged!

The Gay and Lesbian Services Organization of Lexington were organizing their fifth annual “Lexington Pride Festival” and sought bids from several T-shirt companies to produce apparel for the event, being held in June.  The lowest bid was from a popular Lexington company Hands On Originals.  The T-shirts were to have a stylish ‘5’ along with “Lexington Pride Festival” printed on the front, with the event’s sponsors on the back.

When Hands On Originals owner, Blaine Adamson realized the festival was to glorify homosexuals, he politely informed the group that he was declining the order because, “We’re a Christian organization.”  Mr. Adamson then went out of his way to find another company to produce their insipid T-shirts at the same price!  He had absolutely NO obligation to do so.

And what did our sensitive little tiara twirlers do?  They predictably filed a complaint with the city’s Human Rights Commission. Typical.  Here’s a fly-on-the-wall guess of what the whining sounded like:  ‘Well!  Since they aren’t going to capitulate (i.e. bend over) to our demands we’re going to sashay off and start disparaging this small business owner. We should even encourage some of their long time customers to boycott them too!’  *Whaaah, sniff-sniff*

If you take a look at Hands On Originals’ website, the first thing you see is an open declaration that the company is owned by Christians and conducts their business by those principals.  As you scroll down to the bottom, you will see under the header ‘Policies’ their ‘Terms and Conditions.’

Allow me to tell you, dear reader, what is CLEARLY spelled out there.

Please read the following terms and conditions of use carefully before using this website. All users of this site agree that access to and use of this site is subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable law.  If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this site.

Right to Refusal:  Hands On Originals both employs and conducts business with people of all genders, races, religions, sexual preferences, and national origins.  However, due to the promotional nature of our products, it is the prerogative of Hands On Originals to refuse an order that would endorse positions that conflict with the convictions of the ownership.

GOT IT?  Could that possibly BE any clearer?

Aaron Baker, president of GLSO’s board of directors stated, “Hands On Originals does a lot of business in this town, and people should be aware of the situation so they can make an informed decision about whether or not they want to buy from them.”

He opined that the decision to decline the bid “came as a shock because many of us are Christians too, and what’s that have to do with anything?”  Would you REALLY like to know, Mr. Baker?  Let’s all get our Bibles, (the Word of God) and look up a verse or two about this situation, shall we?  Are you really sure you want to open this can of worms, Mr. Baker??  Okey-dokey.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived (to be led away into error and sin): neither fornicators, not idolaters (worshipping something other than God), not adulterers, not effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such WERE some of you…”    The word ‘were’ means ‘used to be’ notstill doing what I dang well please and claim I’m a Christian anyway.’

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers (prone to slander), incontinent (without self control), fierce (savage), despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded (puffed up with pride), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness (reverence/respect for God), but denying (rejecting) the power(moral power and excellence of soul) thereof: from such turn away.”

Sorry Mr. Baker, but it’s abundantly clear in scripture that you cannot be a practicing homosexual and claim to belong to Jesus Christ too.  Complete oxymoron there. It sure sounds politically correct and pretty, but it is a lie.  “Be not deceived.”

This is not a discussion on homosexuality. This is a condemnation of you people popping your g-strings because you were told, “no.”  Mr. Adamson went out of his way to obtain what you wanted at the same price, but was that good enough?  NOOoooooo!  You reward his unmerited kindness and professionalism with slanders, slurs and attempts to ruin his livelihood because you were told, “no.”  What a bunch of big babies you are!  Grow up!

You want to be treated like everyone else?  Then act like everyone else!  Be civil.  Show the same tolerance for other’s opinions that you throw temper tantrums to get.  You should be ashamed of yourselves, you hypocrites!  You owe Mr. Adamson a HUGE apology and a public retraction of the malicious statements that’s causing his business to unjustly suffer.

Geesh!

Readers:  I will immediately delete any negative emails telling me I’m homophobic, judgmental, un-Christian, mean or anything else you’d like to call me.  I also will not in any way shape or form debate the cause or morality (or lack thereof) of being gay.  I’ve covered this subject ad nausea with readers; my opinion reflects what the Bible says and is not subject to change.  If that does not suit you, don’t read my stuff.  Thank you.

This was VERY hard to watch - in fact, the first baby that appeared (maybe 15 seconds into the video) was enough for me. Many cults do harm to their bodies as a means of getting closer to their god. Islam has to "top the charts" with hurting their babies; that was horrific :'(

Praise the Lord that our God took all the punishment upon Himself rather than allow us to go through it! Thank You, Lord Jesus!
